Be warned! this entry is one big bitch fest! I needed to vent. If I offend...screw you. You can always go elsewhere on the web. Baaaa
Those of you that have been blessed to see my show and be enlightened by my ramblings may notice that I have a preoccupation with helmet laws and other Big Brother intrusions disguised as safety laws. Many say that I am right wing. i am not. I am Libertarian. If you don't know the difference then this blog entry is directed at you.
A helmet law, seatbelt law or any other "we are protecting you" law is just a disguise for the corrupt officials to tax you some more. Only they can't call it a tax because we have way to many of those. No they call it a fine. Yeah, fine for them as they steal more of my money.
So I am minding my own business, not hurting anyone or getting hurt and they think that taking my money is going to increase safety? Prove it...and show your work. They can't. Oh sure they will spin some numbers that they created to show they are saving lives. Stop it. Some of them aren't worth saving.
Yeah I know that safety devices have saved lives. I don't dispute that. I want to know how ELIMINATING my right to choose is going to help? I am competent and able to do stuff with smacking into anything and bursting into a big ball of fire. I can tell when a little safety equipment may be needed. A jaunt across the street is not a need for a seatbelt. And if I forget, well then Darwin was right. The strong, smart and fast shall live and the weak and dumb shall perish. One day we ALL fit the latter. When the occasion occurs, I don't wish to have my time extended so I can continue my inferior ways. The eskimos had it right. When you are a burden on society and no longer able to contribute...they put you on an ice floe. It was accepted. It was survival.
That is my beef with society today. We try and save EVERYONE no matter what. "if it saves just one person..." we have heard the bleating of the sheeple-herders spout that verbal excrement so many times.
I say NO! What if the one we save, the one we pluck from the jaws of death, turns out to be a waste of flesh. An unaware, uncoordinated, idiot that in time is just, a huge pile up on the freeway, waiting to happen? How many times do we read of some accident where the driver did something so stupid that we just shake our heads and go "How the fuck did he manage that?"
Just think that maybe, just maybe, they were the result of all these safety laws. Maybe a helmet saved this dork at a young age so that later he/she/it could repeat the act with a motor vehicle. Maybe a seatbelt did the same result later in life. Or maybe the idiot did not cause his own demise but somehow beat the odds and made it to a ripe old age. Now before all the sheeple start bleating success on the safety laws lets assume the moron found another moron and they figured out how to breed. Great! Now we have their offspring to contend with and their bad gene pool. The effect is multiplied now.
You have seen them, the misfits and their inbred offspring shopping at Walmart and living in trailer parks. Or begging you for change.
You know the ones, the social misfits, the nerds the weird ones we all saw in school that no matter what, you knew that could not rise any higher than a civil servant (one of the lowest of the lows in career choices by the way...talk about people being led and not thinking).
What did we do to these kids before they became everyone's problem? We let them eat paste in class and pick their noses and eat it...hoping it would get rid of them. In gym class they were the first targets in dodge ball. (the great sport of dodge ball has been eliminated now as it has been deemed too violent?? this in a time when kids are packing heat??) It was all part of nature's way of eliminating the weak. Smack 'em with a ball and they learn not to make a fuss.Mark 'em so they don't find a mate.
Now we save them, we let them mulitply and then we wonder why the world is so screwed up?
It is not just helmets, we are having every thought process dumbed down. Don't believe me? Think of this the next time you are at a cash register trying to pay for your purchase and you toss in some change to round it up to the nearsest dollar and you watch in horror as the young clerk looks at the extra coins and cannot do the math!! Especially since they already punched in an amount and the machine did the calculation for them and now they can't think past that lit up number. Baaaaa
Cash registers figure out the change, computers edit our spelling as we go, cars have chips in to take over where our brains fails us...like on slippery roads. Toilets flush by themselves and the taps come on with no help from us. Why? Why? If you can't figure out how to wash your hands then enjoy the germs on your mitts you schlep!
Full meals are available in the supermarket so we don't even have to know how to cook. A basic life skill is becoming a lost art. Ask any kid over 16 to cook something and they just zap their frozen whatever and park themselves in front of the mind numbing TV. I know people in their 30s that can't feed themselves. They don't even know where the food comes from. It is just there, dancing to them, in the commercials telling them how easy it is to eat....and get fat on this processed shit they pawn off on the stupid.
And TV has gotten stupider. Reality TV?? Is this because we have churned out so many mindless twits that there is no one left that can write a decent script for proper programs?
American Idol? Canadian Idol? The sheeple are led to believe these folks are stars with some sort of talent?!! Has not one noticed that it is just glorified KARAOKE???
Tell them to write their own songs and maybe play an instrument and then I will watch. Until then you are a puppet and a juke box spitting out someone else's work, for the man to market and discard you like the bic lighter that you "idols" are. No flame or spark? good bye!
Okay, I can hear people bitching that this is a negative, hate filled post. I should put some positive stuff in here too. Something happy so people will come back. Why not. Life is not all bad.
Today was a nice sunny fall day so I rode my mountain bike through Fish Creek Park ( a great place if you ever get to Calgary). I saw some deer and took pictures. It was beautiful, nature right there living with out intrusions from governments. They survive outside all year and you know what? They don't need helmets. In fact I could see the alertness in their eyes as I got to close. Maybe there are deer that don't flee at the sign of danger. I am sure the wolf or cougar enjoyed them as a meal. Not these ones. They stood still just long enough for me to get a few pics and then bolted. Bolted through bush I could not even hope to follow them through.
Me? I rode home...without a helmet.
Later, thanks for letting me vent.
