Melbourne Comedy Fest

Melbourne Comedy Fest

Well I find myself now at the Melbourne Comedy Festival for then next month or so. What a great time so far! A very well run fest and a huge amount of talent here to rub shoulders with, have a few drinks (ok, a lot of drinks) plus good times and laughs.

I've bumped into old friends I have not seen in some time and have reunited with some of my newfound Aussie comic friends. There are also many comics I have met that know some of the same pals of mine back home and in the UK. Being on the other side of the world and yet having all the same connections makes me realize just how small this chunk of rock, we call Earth, really is.

I have done 5 shows so far and the crowds have been excellent and sold out with the exception of Easter Sunday. A great crowd but just shy of a sell out. What the hell, some people have to hunt for chocolate eggs. The bible says so! Hiding chocolate eggs is the story of Jesus according to Bill Hicks!! (listen to his CDs if you don't get this reference).

Today I have off so I plan to catch some of the shows/venues that are open tonight. My day will be spent seeing some of the sites that Melbourne has to offer. I only have a month left so I have to so some touristy things.
Off to explore!
