Its not easy being green!
Today I had lunch with a good friend and good friend of comedy, Dave Reuben who runs the website www.comedygreenroom.com.
A site that started as a small, fun project to let comedy fans know the scene in Toronto, it has now grown to include information of hundreds of venues and festivals world wide! It also has links to many funny comics and is one of the best sites to learn about what is going on in comedy or find the link to what you are seeking. Check it out. I have a link on my "4 fun" page.
We went for lunch, well it was lunchtime for mere mortals, we had breakfast at 1pm!! Eggs are better midday if someone else cooks them.
We caught up on what was happening here, and I told him of my adventures down in Australia while we chowed down on good grub and countless cups of coffee. Yeah, good old caffeine! Now I am buzzed and wide awake in a city I can barely stand.
Sorry T.O. folks, I grew up in the wide open spaces and clean cities of western Canada. Toronto just does not thrill me.
I have had some good response from the TV and film industry having had 3 auditions last week, thanks to the hard work of my agent here, Connie Winkleman.
Connie wants me to move here or at least for a few months to pitch me for everything she can. Hmmm, can a good ol' boy from the west tolerate living here? We will see. It is not out of the realm of possibilities.
Later kids
Daryl
