Kidney Komedy Night

Kidney Lomedy Night

Wow what a great week at the Calgary Yuk Yuks club. We had awesome crowds (late night Friday being a bit too rowdy though....less drinks next time guys!). Saturday's 2 shows had the audiences that remind me why I am in this crazy business. These people gave me a wonderful response. The second one giving me an encore. Thanks!

One of my corporate clients came down to see the full, uncensored Daryl Makk show and enjoyed herself thoroughly. Thanks for stopping in Kim and I am glad you enjoyed the regular (non corporate) material too.

This week is all about putting the final touches on the Kidney Komedy Night fundraiser

Last year's show was a great success and was also the tribute to the late Kerry Talmage. The comics from last year's show are in the pic with the exception of Mike Craigdallie and Amon Darnell. I am not sure where they were when the pic was taken. In the pic are (from L to R as best as I can do with the sloppy pose we did:
Rob Brackenridge, Martha Chavas, me, a pic of Kerry Talmage
Bob Chomyn, Martha Chavas (ok, it looks like she is in both rows!!), Cris Nannarone, Kevin Stobo,
Jasen Fredrickson, Scott Dumas ( a former kidney patient himself) Toby Hargrave and at the foot of the photo, Mark Dorman who came out of retirement to do a spot.
This year's line up has a few changes. Some of the comics that wanted to be on the show had gigs they had to do and we didn't want anyone to lose pay over this. We still have put together an amazing line up of talent and this year's event looks to be a huge success. Tickets are almost sold out so hurry and order.
If you are in Calgary this Thursday Oct 6, come out and enjoy an amazing night of comedic talent and help raise money for a great cause. All comics are donating their time and all proceeds will go to the "Kerry Talmage memorial endowment fund" with the Kidney Foundation of Canada to help kidney patients and their families.
The show was Kerry's idea many years ago and he always wanted to help other kidney patients as well as promote stand up comedy.
So come and laugh 'til your kidneys hurt!!

Hey jokegirl....all proceeds go to the Kidney Foundation and, unlike your alter ego, I will not be slamming any of the volunteers after or force them to defend themselves against allegations.
Oh by the way, my tent is paid for and it was not that expensive.

I have also been to the end of the internet and I am now wiser and fatter. Good work, keep it up

I just happened upon this blog and read a few posts, and seems like Jokegirl has sipped too much of the bitter juice.
Does her life really suck that much that she has to constantly leave comments on this guy's blog who she clearly despises? All that bad energy must be real fun to live with on a daily basis.
