Merry Christmas from the comedy road warrior

Well the busy Christmas season wrapped up for me in Edmonton last night. I had a great time and really enjoyed working the Comic Strip. It is truly what a club should be. The West Edmonton Mall, where it is located, was a zoo of last minute shoppers. I was so glad I was finished!!
I knew the week was going to go well as it started with an email from a fan that had seen my act many times and wanted my CD as a gift for someone. Unfortunately she was unable to make it to my shows this week so we arranged to meet in the south side and make the exchange. I made it into Edmonton with 5 minutes to spare.
I have to say that is the first time I have sold a CD out of my vehicle like that! I hope they enjoy it Jenny, they should as it is professionally made and not ghetto homemade.
;-)
It was great to see you again.
The shows at the Comic Strip were awesome. Great crowds and I was treated very well by the staff and management. Thanks to Rick, Dino and all the wonderful folks at the club. You guys are awesome and made me feel very welcome there.
I drove back right after the show last night. Not so I could write about it as some badge of honor, I figured it was easier to drive, after the high that comes from a great performance, than to drag my tired ass out of bed at 5:00am then make it back to Calgary by 8:30 am to pick my kids up at the airport . The only flight I could get them on was the early one so either way I was going to be short a few ZZZ's as I don't do mornings well. It is so nice to have them here for the holidays.
Today it was warm so we went skating but it was a wee bit slushy. We then visited with some family and finished off with a nice Christmas Eve backyard bonfire.
Here's wishing all of you out there a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope Santa brings you all you want or need, that is, if you have been good!!
I know of 2 naughty goofs in Edmonton that really need some manners, tact, personalities and maybe a note book to write new material but they will probably just get lumps of coal. At least they have each other. Its all they really have but they seem like such a happy couple...couple of whats? Oh the list of things to call them is long. Have fun with your families either way.
The blog is now closed for the holidays!!
Ho Ho Ho
and all that stuff.
Remember, there are 2 types of people in the world. Those that lead...the rest of you come with me!
Cheers
Daryl
