One night at Spirits

Well my trip is coming to an end. I am off to the airport within the hour to fly back to my wonderful city of Calgary. It will be great to be home although this trip was very successful and a blast to do.
I had a chance to do a great corporate show, 2 fantastic new clubs and one old club (in a new locale) that was also awesome. I sold out of CDs (which is a first for the east)
I managed to get an on air radio interview, an online web interview and an article written about me in the Ottawa Sun. All in all, not a bad trip.
I also had a chance to meet up with many old friends. I remembered to snap a few pics between sharing wobbly pops with my friends and will try to get some on the site when I have more time to resize them.
Joanna Downey, it was great to see you again "Mama"!
Paul Myerhaug, good to see you in your new city. Enjoy the T-dot bud!
Boomer (not pictured) your nuts man!! I'll hang with you any day brother!!
Peter (also not pictured) get well soon.
Casey, it was great to see you and thanks for your hospitality. There are too many to mention but you all know who you are and how special you are. (NO that is not a road whore reference!!) LOL
Lisa, my new biggest fan and coolest friend..love ya kiddo!!
There was a definte different vibe on this tour. I felt happier and more in control of my career and had the least miserable time in Toronto. That;s right, leas miserable. That is the best I could hope for.
Now before all the Torontonians get all pissy, remember, your big sprawling city is just not my scene. Too much concrete, not enough green space and everyone seems to be in a hurry to go ....well, I am not sure.
Lets just say I did not hate T.O. this time around. I tolerated it in a fun way. I guess there is more change happening in me and my career than I thought.
Thanks to the all the staff at the Comedy Nest (Montreal) Absolute Comedy (Ottawa) and The Laugh Resort (Toronto) for making my stay at your clubs a fantastic experience and for your professional way in handling the shows. We need more clubs like these across the country.
Now for the big downer of the trip....Pearson Airport......one of the most unfun airports I know.
4 more hours, 4 more hours...4 more hours...
Leaving on a jet plane;
Makk
