Thanks to the wonderful people at CanJet for helping out this worthy cause!
Kidney Komedy Night is a fundraiser that started out as the brainchild of Kerry Talmage, one of the funniest guys I ever knew. Sadly, Kerry passed away June 17, 2004 after kidney failure and other related illnesses. He is missed by all.
One of Kerry's wishes was to keep the Kidney Komedy Night fundraiser going for two reasons.
1- to raise funds for the Kidney Foundation of Canada, an organization that did so much for him in his final years and will continue to help those with kidney diseases.
2- to give comics a great venue to be seen and promoted in. KKN is not just about fundraising. It is an evening to promote stand-up comedy and the comedians that love this art form as much as Kerry did.
With the help of Sheri Forbes, Joe Belland, James Hutniak and many others we have kept Kerry's wish alive.
All the scheduled acts for KKN on Oct 6/05 are accomplished comics and also have had Kerry touch their lives in some way. In my case, it was Kerry that gave me my first opportunity to do stand up, my first tour and helped guide me on writing and delivery. Thanks bud, you were an inspiration. There will also some special guests we will add as we confirm who is in town.

I am sure he is up there, making the angels roar with his humor. Jokes on the origin of certain bad words and how we should not be offended by them, jokes of his height, jokes on (lack of) dating and if I know him, If there is a stage in the after life, I bet he has new bits on over-aged crossing guards acting like a 3rd grade punk. A premise that may be explored here on earth yet. It could be called "ass in the bag" everthing you need for an ass...in a @#%ing bag! Sorry, inside joke...no pics.
:-)

The best part is the heart of our show, the comics themselves. Canada is known for it’s diversity, and these comics are no exception! Some of our comics have been on television and film. Some of them have traveled across Canada, and around the globe. Some of them have an innocent twinkle in their eye... others are not for the faint of heart!
who's on the show? sounds good
