I have a show tomorrow night, in Drayton Valley, for an oil well servicing company.
Normally these can be a lot of fun because the field workers unlike office types, usually let you let loose with a normal show.
I have talked to the venue and found it is an all family affair. People in the audience from age 8 to 88!! YIKES!
Not your normal stand-up crowd, to say the least. No problem, I have enought material to draw from and I am used to dealing with kids. I am a dad mayself. Also, latley I have gained experience in dealing with juvenile-like minds. In fact, there is one childish person I have had to deal lately who thinks taking people's pictures and altering and abusing them in photoshop is somehow amusing or that it is helping his career? Gee, I wish I had that sort of spare time to waste too bad I have to do writing, promoting and networking and other business related things. Playing with pictures must be so much more .....stupid.
So, armed with knowledge of the not fully developed brain as well as knowing about those that have grown old and wise, it should be a fun time in Drayton. Oh yeah, there is a BBQ meal before. My favorite, good Alberta beef cooked up right. Mmmm

This is more like heckling from a drunk that doesn't know they are losing and keep on yakking out, ruining the show.

You are also anonymous (to me) but put constructive or interesting things on here. I don't mind a debate but jokegirl just screams out a bunch of BS with no specifics or fact. As such comments from this person (thing) shall be deleted. They can email me and I will adress their concerns but I will not put up with hit and run posts. This is not a forum.
You are also right with "He could be the biggest jerk or the kindest man." To my friends and people I care about I can be the kindest guy in the world, but to people who have pissed me off or attacked me or my friends...I can be a jerk. A big one.

hey jokegirl - all headliners "treat" when they can...but let's get it straight - it's just that - a "treat" - we do it when we can - based on our own financial situations - you can't throw it up as an accusation of horrible behaviour without looking very inexperienced in the process.
You're self-employed as we all are - feed yourself. buy a share of the gas.Collect receipts - get the tax write-off....hey wait a minute - maybe that's why some headliners pays for ALL the gas - because they get paid the most, and in return they requires the most receipts/write-offs...
