CJAD Radio in Montreal

So here I am with next to no French skills in the city of Montreal. One of the most confusing, yet fun places on the planet.
Confusing because Francophones live along with Anglophones in a delicate harmony.
While most could care less about the language issue others are militant about it. Thankfully there are great bars, awesome comedy fans and poutine to keep the whole place in check.
I am having a great time at Comedy Nest and the new location is so nice an intimate. The crowds are great and judging by CD sales, I would have to say I am doing very well.
On Thursday I had the pleasure of being on air with Ernie, the club owner. He runs a great comedy show on CJAD AM radio and while on air we called up John Beuhler,
the winner of the prestigious "Comic Genius" contest held recently by Brent Butt and the folks from the hit TV show "Corner Gas". John walked away with first prize and 10G in his pocket!! Not too shabby at all.
The week wraps up tonight but I am hanging out for an extra couple of days to visit with friends.
Last night was an impromptu birthday bash for Mike Wilmot who is headlining the other club, The Comedy Works, in town. My good friend, Jo-anna Downey was in town as well. Mike was in true "birthday" form.
tonight I do an interview for an online CD review. I will post the info soon.
