So here I am in the Nation's capital freezing my ass off. Mother nature turned into a real frigid bitch this past week. To top things off my beloved iBook took a spill (Note to others, socks on a hardwood floor are not good for grip) just before I left Montreal.
The spill seems to have messed it up and the service depot says that it may not be repairable. So, I am off to buy and new one and claim this old one on insurance. Luckily I have the cash to buy a new one until I sort things out with the insurance company. I am glad my friend Tommy Campbell told me about getting a rider on laptops. Turns out most home policies do NOT cover a laptop outside the house.
That's right..I am buying a new one in cash! Yes cash. It's funny but a couple of comics?(on their blogs)had said I was broke and not working since leaving a certain chain. Really? Its not like those 2 to spread lies to further their cult status. Now I want to keep this positive so, I heard they raised a ton of money for their cancer benefit so bravo/kudos to them. Well done. I know you worked hard on it.
Yep, this broke comic is off to pay cash for a new iBook. I had planned on getting the new Macbook Pro in late spring but they are not in yet and I figured I would let them work out the bugs for a year first.
Apparantly not all my programs will run on the new Macbook Pro just yet as some new coding has to be done for those dual Intels inside. My buddy Marcus Beaubier is getting one so I will see how his does.
Until then, the new iBooks work fine and I know, mine has been great thru all the travel (recent sock slip excluded).
So losing my laptop and freezing my arse off should put one in a bad mood you'd think? Hardly. I am at the condo that Absolute Comedy puts us up in and it is awesome!! Screw hotels, this place has everything. Big screen TVs...yes plural! Each of the 2 bedrooms has one as well as the living room. There is a DVD player and movie collection, digital cable, a huge kitchen with granite tops and top of the line appliances and LOTS of space.
I have stocked up on eats so I don't have to venture outside. There is laundry in the condo so I can refresh my wardrobe. The place is clean and well appointed with comfy furniture and beds. I feel like I'm on a mini vacation.
I arrived 2 days early to see some old friends and Absolute Comedy let me stay here to reduce my costs. What a great club!! What a swanky condo!!
There is even a computer and highspeed in here. Ok, so it is a lousy Windoze machine and I have been swearing at it constantly. How do the sheep of the masses put up with Gates' shitty operating system and constant need for upgrades and virus protection, program freezing and other flaws? Do yourselves a favor folks,switch to Mac and have less stress in your life.
Tonight is the first show here for me. I took a peek at the club a couple of days ago and it looks like an amazing room that will have great energy.
