James just sent me the pic of all the performers who were at “Comedy Monday Night’s” CBC taping of “So you think you’re funny?". They are (from left to right):
James Moore, Brent Hall, Adam Delory, Trent (my eyes are closed) McLellan, Julia Stretch, (peeking from behind) is Don Wood and Karen O’Keefe, Me, Robert Hawke, Dan Guiry, Bret Martin, Alyson Smith and in the front on his knees yakking in the mic is Chris Gordon.
Congrats to all on having great sets and to CBC, thanks for choosing our great workout room and Comedy Monday Night to start off your cross-country tour of radio tapings!
To all who attended, thanks for being such a great audience, Without comedy supporters like you we could not have done it.
This Monday there is no show, as the long weekend tends to kill off the crowds in this town. Comedy Monday Night will return on May 29 and I am dieing to try out some new material I just wrote. Thanks again James for this great room that just keeps on growing.
Comedy Monday Night is on myspace.com give us the “add” if you use that site and we will keep you posted on all events.

I hope everyone had a great long weekend. I know I did. My kids came in and we spent the weekend biking, BBQing, nightly bonfires and checking out the family of 4 new coyote pups that live in the natural park at the end of my street.
I love this city for the way they preserve natural areas so we can enjoy nature without having to leave. Something Toronto messed up on and even Vancouver, with all their earth muffins, has nowhere near the green space we have. I will try and get some pics up of the wiley family of predators that share my ‘hood. I just have to remember to take my camera on my walks and bike rides.
Last night we tried to warn a lady of their presence and she did not heed our calls to leash her dog (it is an off leash walking area too). Her German Sheppard took off after what he thought was a new dog to play with only to have 2 wild coyotes hot on his heels. I wish I had my video camera to record it. It was scary but funny at the same time. Luckily the big pooch made it back up the hill, to the safety of the gaggle of people who were there watching, with no harm done but its pride wounded. The pair of coyotes returned to hide in the shrubs near their den to protect their young ones. The pups did not make an appearance last night. I guess they were napping.
My boys and I did observe the mother hunting for small rodents, and, through binoculars, watched her thin the field mice numbers that live in the tall grasses. It was so cool to watch wild animals just 2 blocks from my house yet we were within a 20-minute walk of downtown!! We did out part for the food chain by feeding the hordes of hungry mosquitoes that fed on us, finally retreating back to the yard and the smoky safety of our firepit.
Cheers
Daryl
