2 speed toilets
I have noticed a lot of things are different in Australia, not different bad, just different and sometimes good! Take their toilets (dunny) for example. Due to the limited water on the island, they have made a conservation toilet with a choice of flushes. Push the half flush button for the little jobs and full flush for the big jobs. Essentially they have made a toilet with 2 settings, a loo with a transmission! Brilliant! The only thing you have to figure if your visit is a 1st or 2nd gear session!
Back in Canada we have been spoiled with an a abundance of fresh water and have units that toss litre upon litres of H2O away just to get rid of cupful of wee. Does that make sense? Do we have to wait until our supply is so depleted before we get some of these 2 speed toilets? So to my Aussie friends, Good on ya mate, Now toss me another cold one so I can use the pisser again.
Now, if I can just get used to the stainless steel wall, with the trough, that they have instead of urinals in the pub washrooms. Watch yer aim mate, those are me shoes! I think I may have to use the 2 speed dunny if ya keep that up!

LOL, I decided to check out your blog while I was at your site. I found the post about Aussie-land interesting as I just had a friend fly over from England who's originally from Australia and she's never been here before. I'm surprised that they don't know what root beer is! anyhow, have fun in Australia!
