Well my sons and I are going through all our gear and heading out for a shopping trip to replace anything missing.
OWe are off to camp for a week. Real camping in a tent, not hog-the-highway in a fossil fuel sucking RV to stay in a manicured park. Nope. We are real men off to tame the wilderness!! Look out gandpa and grandma but your motor home is in our way!
My oldest boy has been studying the S.A.S.Survival manual in my book collection and is itching to try out his new found knowledge. Lets see if he is made of the right stuff!

>cots (hey we are rugged but we still love a good sleep!)-check

>bottle of scotch....bottle of scotch...(off to buy one)

> ax and saw-check

> bug stuff- check
> clothes- well duh
> mountain bikes-check
> Aussie bush hat-check
>rain gear-check
>knives and hatchet-double check
> rope-check
> fist aid kit- oh yeah
Looks like we have it all. Look out Yogi, you are about to have new neighbours!!!

just got back from a week of camping. THAT iz one of the reasons y i choose to live in BC. i love the more remote ....getting lost in the solitude, ahhhh....no telephones ....faxes....no lost crowds of sheeple (: have fun makk & learn to relax.... & teach yr little men the same!
PS: any chance those 'cigars' are capt black sweets >> just askin' (:
