I sent a package to my buddy Byron in Australia. I guess I should say (insert Aussie accent here) "me mate in Australia".
Byron is the guy I stayed with for a while in Sydney. He has a great place right on Curl Curl beach and is an awesome host. I met him through my good pal Scott Dumas who was Byron's roomate a few years back when Byron was living in Calgary. Ok, now you have the history.
Scott and I had a few things we wanted to send to "Bazza" so I boxed it up and put it into the trust of the postal service.
Just a small box, not much in it but it took over 2 months to get to Australia!?!!!? 2 MONTHS and 9 days???!
What the hell did they do with it, canoe it over?
Finally Bazza has his copy of VEX magazine (that Scott and I write for), a cool hat from a golf course up in the Yukon and Eric von Gwooben bear. (inside story- email for details) and some other stuff I can't remember.
What's the moral? Don't use regular post to get things to the other side of the world. Pay the extra (double) and get it there in 1 month instead!!
And the post office wonders why they are not liked around the world?

YOu can order it online at
www.vexmagazine.com
I would have made it a "clickable" link but blogger does not allow that thanks to all the spam pukes who ruined it by abusing it.
