If this is Monday....things must be busy!

Can someone invent a 36 hour day and a nine day week? Man have I been busy. Some new comedy rooms will be up and running soon. As well I have some bigger deals on the horizon as many things are coming close to being done deals.

This past Sunday I taught my "Stand up comedy boot camp" workshop. The attendence was overwhelming. I had almost twice as many students than I had anticipated. The studio has asked me to do some more workshops as we had to turn many away as we capped things off at 19. That was a lot of minds to help guide to success.
Thanks to all that attended and I hope you learned things to further your comedy endeavours. The comments I recieved were very positive.

Some comments from my students to share from the comment forms:
"We amatuers need this type of training"
"Well worth it, a must!"
"Daryl knows what this biz is about"
"It was straight forward and honest"

I like the last one. Honest. Something I think lacks a bit in this business. I tried to let all know what to expect as they rise up from the ranks of open mic performers. What a booking agent expects and what to do to self promote. Until you make it big no one will take that job on for you.
There were also a few pros that stopped in to give a few opinions and different viewpoints. I look forward to doing more workshops and helping build this industry up to where it should be.
I see a big growth in the comedy industry and the west seems to be leading the way to a certain extent. Hmm, could Calgary be the NEW center of the universe?

I had a couple of corporate shows this week to squeeze in along with all my other projects. I have done shows for these companies before and it is nice to be re-booked based on reputation. Thanks.

Well I have to go and restock my CDs at one of the retail outlets that is selling them. That is the great thing of having a professionally produced CD and not some cheezy home burned one. You can get it sold in stores and not worry about quality problems or feel like some backyard ghetto producer.
Lots of stuff to do for my concert show this Sunday. I hear many of the media are coming out to have fun!
Later kids!

Well joke girl, I see you have emerged from your ivory tower of debt to be an ass again. I know what is real in the world, you are too busy wearing clothes that don't fit. Meanwhile anonymous is busy stealing the words of Mr. Wilmot.
Company souless pukes- the lows of which you will try to reach....You are sad.

A quote from Frosty's blog

"Why do people have to lie. Why cannot we all just admit that our life is shit from time to time and move forward."

alwaysbewitched I couldn't have said it better myself! LOL
hey anonymous, that is a good quote from Frosty.
Now what the hell does that have to do with me? My life is good, I am happy and my career is growing. Your life seems like it is sad as you hide behind anonymity and feel the need to come here just to attack.
Get a life, move on. You are grasping for things to say like a drunk heckler.

"it is sad as you hide behind anonymity"
So you feel sad for people who have to say shit without a name?
